What happens to your file

The document is opened by LibreOffice on Fylane’s servers and its text written out as UTF-8: paragraphs as lines, tables row by row, pictures and formatting left behind — that is what plain text is.

Where do the tables go?

Each row becomes a line with its cells separated by tabs. Use Word to HTML or Markdown to keep tables as tables.
