Word to HTML

Headings, lists, tables and links kept, as one HTML file.

More free conversions, where you upload. The Fylane extension does the same work inside any upload form, on its own free share every day.About the extension

How to convert Word to HTML

  1. Drop the file.
  2. Nothing to choose.
  3. Press Convert and download.

What happens to your file

The document is opened by LibreOffice on Fylane’s servers and saved in the new format with its text, headings, lists, tables and pictures; layout that the target format cannot express is simplified rather than invented. The file is deleted on schedule.

The HTML LibreOffice writes is plain and a little verbose; a designer will want to clean the styles. Pictures are embedded in the file.

Questions

Can I paste this into my site?

The body of the file, yes. Most site editors accept the headings and paragraphs directly; the inline styles are safe to strip.

Do this in code

curl -X POST https://api.fylane.dev/v1/jobs \
  -H "Authorization: Bearer $FYLANE_API_KEY" \
  -H "Content-Type: application/json" \
  -d '{
    "file_id": "<file id>",
    "operation": "convert",
    "options": {
      "to": "html"
    }
  }'

The same operation, convert — Documents into another document format: Office, text and HTML to PDF by default, or by `to` into docx, odt, rtf, txt, html, xlsx, ods, csv, pptx, odp, md or epub (Markdown and EPUB through pandoc). Images to WebP. Upload first with the quickstart; every option is on the operations page. 500 free credits a month, then $5 per thousand.
