What happens to your file

The file is opened as the ZIP of XML it is; each paragraph’s text is read across its runs, translated by the Qwen 2.5 model in Fylane’s own sandbox, and written back into the paragraph’s first run — so the paragraph’s style, numbering and alignment, the pictures, tables and layout all stay. Nothing leaves the platform.

A sentence split across bold and plain runs comes back in the first run’s formatting; the metadata counts those. Up to 1 500 characters of text a run — half a page, a few minutes on the sandbox model’s one CPU; a longer document is refused with the count, split it first.

How good is the translation?

A small local model: faithful on plain prose, weaker on idiom and long sentences. It is the private, formatting-keeping option, not a replacement for a translator on a contract.

Why is there a size limit?

The model runs on one CPU in the sandbox at a few words a second; 1 500 characters is a few minutes, and a job has ten. Longer documents are refused rather than timed out halfway.

Do it once, not on every form

Fixing a file here means downloading it and going back to the form. The Fylane extension does this work inside the form instead, on the file you already have.

And it keeps the result. The next application that asks for a résumé, a cover letter and a photo fills all three from one tap, each one refitted to what that site accepts.

Your files stay in the browser, encrypted, on your machine. Nothing is uploaded to keep them and nothing is sent anywhere to fill a form.
