What happens to your file
Every frame is mirrored (hflip) or turned over (vflip) and re-encoded as H.264 in a faststart MP4. The sound is untouched. Text that read backwards in a selfie video reads forwards.

Questions
Should I flip or rotate?
Rotate turns the picture; flip mirrors it. A video shot upside down wants rotate 180. A selfie where the writing on your shirt reads backwards wants a horizontal flip. They are not interchangeable and doing the wrong one makes it worse.
Why is my selfie video mirrored?
Because the phone shows you a mirror while you record, so it feels natural, and most phones then save what the camera actually saw. Some save the mirrored version instead. Either way any text in the frame gives it away, and a horizontal flip puts it right.
Does flipping lose quality?
The mirroring itself loses nothing, but the video has to be encoded again to write the new frames, and that is a generational step. Start from the original rather than from something already re-compressed.
Is the sound affected?
No. The audio track is carried across untouched and stays in sync.
Can I flip only part of the video?
Not in one pass. Trim out the part you want, flip that, and join it back if you need the whole clip.
Why does this one cost credits?
Because every frame is redrawn and the video re-encoded, which is real compute for every minute of footage. The first 500 credits each month are free.
Do it once, not on every form
